“If I never get to see the Northern lights, or if I never get to see the Eiffel Tower at night. Oh if all I got is your hand in my hand, Baby I could die a happy man…”Thomas Rhett
There is something absolutely DREAMY about weddings on the coast! Whether it’s the rocky shores of Rhode Island, the darker waters of the Atlantic beaches, or the turquoise waves of the Gulf Coast and tropics we love photographing the ocean in all of its moods!
Chelsea had been dreaming of the perfect beach wedding since childhood, and after vacationing with her fiance and his family in the Rehoboth/Dewey beach region many times, she couldn’t think of a better place to start their lives together as husband and wife! Seth and Chelsea chose Lighthouse Cove Event Center, a newer venue attached to the Hyatt in Dewey Beach, and it was nothing short of GORGEOUS!!! Everyone at the Hyatt was so wonderful to work with, and we can’t say enough good things about our experience doing photography and videography there!
One of the amazing things about doing a ceremony on the sands bayside at Lighthouse Cove is the fact that the sun sets behind the ceremony! This gives some really incredible backlighting AND it allows for golden hour photos similar to those you’d find on the West Coast where the sun sets over the water every day. Chelsea and Seth even got to bring their sweet pup along and he was able to walk down the aisle for their ceremony!
How they met: “We met in Baltimore City in 2014 while playing social league kickball – we had mutual friends that were dating at the time and started a kickball team ! We had plenty of post-kickball celebrations where we quickly got to know each other and the rest is history!”
How he proposed: “It started as a typical Friday night, we LOVE Mexican food and frequent Bar Clavel in Remington neighborhood in Baltimore – We knew my parents were coming to visit later in the evening from syracuse, NY so we figured we could go about our normal Friday evening at Clavel! Little did I know, my parents had arrived shortly after we left for dinner along with his mother & sister to help decorate the house for after we came home. When we arrived home, I went to go unlock the door and noticed he went to grab the mail and as i turned around to see what he was doing he got down on one knee and proposed on our front porch! Not sure if we can leave now that those front steps have such sentimental value!!”
What Seth loves most about Chelsea: “I love how loyal she is and always making my day brighter with her smile. She also has turned our house into a home and I love coming home from work each day and giving her a big kiss.”
What Chelsea loves most about Seth: “I love how kind-hearted he is. He rarely gets angry and is just a beam of positivity all the time.”
