“Cause it’s just you and me, and you smile so only I can see. And every second’s better than before, and I can’t wait to see the ones in store ’cause when you sing I sing. And if the sun goes down on me, then I will know that I was loved at least. The puzzle that was once my heart you’ve pieced into a beautiful display of how specifically I needed you, and even when it’s darkest you have me…”
David Eckman and Kaley Miller met via mutual friends while attending college at Pitt. Late night conversations turned to love, and eventually one night, David proposed with a romantic sonnet he wrote himself while they were walking their dog. He gets extra points for being so creative, and of course, Kaley said yes!
We were connected with Kaley and David by another sweet bride of ours, Alexis Miller (now Alexis Hahn), and we actually met them in person for the the first time at her wedding. These two love to have a good time, and they are super competitive, which makes for a lot of fun all around. They graciously agreed to be one of our first couples to experience our combined videography/photography package, and we couldn’t be more thrilled with the highlight reel from their wedding day!
Foggy Mountain Lodge is both beautiful and rustic. The gorgeous fountain and bridge in the back made for a beautiful backdrop for portraits, and it also made for some really cool video footage. One of our favorite parts of the wedding was their super sweet “First Look”. Many of our couples are opting for the “First Look” as it allows for most of the major wedding portraits to be taken before the ceremony begins. This frees the bride and groom to enjoy more of their cocktail hour and time spent with family and friends.
We would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to David and Kaley, and we want to wish them a lifetime of lighthearted competitions, tons of laughter, and all the love in the world!
