“Ordinary no, really don’t think so, not a love this true. Common destiny; we were meant to be, me and you. Like a perfect scene from a movie screen, where every dream comes true. Suited perfectly, for eternity, me and you.”
Even a very rainy Johnstown day couldn’t dim the smiles on the faces of Sam Hahn and Alexis Miller as they tied the knot in front of their family and friends at Emmanuel Church. I met Alexis at a bridal showcase last year, and have anxiously been awaiting her “peacock themed” day ever since!
As a testament to just how perfect these two really do fit together, Sam and Alexis even managed to purchase each other the same wedding gift, a handkerchief each had personalized with a heartfelt sentiment for the other.
Couples who purchase a package that includes two photographers (or 1 photographer and 1 videographer) from us have a definite advantage! My husband Nathan takes care of photographing the groom while he gets ready, and I have the privilege of devoting my time to the bride and her girls! Alexis had chosen some awesome matching robes for her bridesmaids, so that made getting ready pictures even more fun!
After their heartfelt, simple ceremony at Emmanuel, we followed the bridal party to several fun locations throughout Johnstown. Even though it was raining pretty much throughout the entire process, everyone was such good sports and didn’t mind getting a little wet for some truly great portraits! We ended our session at the golf course, since Sam loves golf more than just about anything (except his beautiful bride of course!).
One of my favorite things about their reception space was the gorgeous peacock wedding cake! It truly was spectacular! We also had the opportunity to work with one of our favorite local DJ’s, DJ Dancin’ Dan, who helped us out at our own wedding when we had a DJ crisis pop up just three weeks before our big day! He’s a stellar DJ, and a lot of fun to work with!
When it came to the bouquet and garter toss, Sam had a little surprise up his sleeve for his new wife. He and his groomsmen sang and danced to a rendition of “My Girl” that had the crowd applauding. It was a gorgeous reception, and an absolutely wonderful night!
Nathan and I would like to extend our warmest congratulations to the new Mr. and Mrs. Hahn, and we wish them a forever filled with laughter, fun, and all the love in the world!
