“They say you only fall in love once, but that can’t be true, because I fall in love all over again every time I look at you…”
As a student, Gettysburg was one of my absolute favorite historical sites in our local area! As I grew older and learned even more about the events that helped shape our nation into the world power it is today, I took on a whole new appreciation for what happened in that little town so many years ago. In fact, one of my ancestors fought and died on that battlefield.
From the memorialized grounds of war to the historical site laden downtown, Gettysburg has maintained the air of days gone by, so I was more than excited when Elizabeth and Matthew, one of my amazing 2017 couples, chose Gettysburg as the location for a very fun engagement session!
We started our session at the old covered bridge, and we then made our way to the historic downtown where Abraham Lincoln is known to have spent the night on his journey through the area. From the quaint local shops to the old theater, we really took advantage of the wonderful ambiance that Gettysburg has to offer, even though it certainly was a very blustery February day!
Matthew and Elizabeth were such a pleasure to work with, and you can really tell just how much they love each other. I really appreciated their flexibility and willingness to try out the different locations we found. Nathan and I are absolutely thrilled to be shooting their wedding day this summer! Stay tuned for what is certainly going to be a beautiful day!
