We wholeheartedly believe that engagement sessions should be FUN.
The engagement session is one of our favorite parts of the wedding planning process! It gives you the chance to get dressed up, go someplace incredible, and get to know one of us before your wedding day!
We love creating photos to remind couples that in spite of the fact that sometimes planning a wedding feels more like wrangling raptors in Jurassic Park than a blissful walk in Central Park, their love and their story are beautiful.
So let’s plan a day, pick a location that is meaningful to you, delve into possible themes/outfits, and create a slew of images that will fill up the frames on your walls for years to come.

No one said engagement sessions needed to be boring! Say good-bye to basic and embrace your creative side. Pick a DREAM location. Call that wedding venue you didn’t choose but absolutely love. Roam the streets of your favorite city in high fashion. Pack a picnic. Pop the champagne. Grab your surfboards and head to the shore.
When it comes to styling your session the possibilities are endless. Choose a dress with an incredible train or that sleek, stylish suit. Pack for a roadtrip. Dance among the monuments at sunrise in black and white formalwear. Splash in the lake or laugh as you run through the ocean surf. Ride the carousel. Embrace in the gardens of a historic mansion or castle. Let’s craft an incredible session together!
INVESTMENT
Session fees vary by your location, but on average, engagement sessions outside of one of our wedding packages are $750 and include an hour to an hour and a half session, online gallery with unlimited downloads for two years, and a print release.

Rain happens. It’s pretty much inevitable that at least some of our weddings/sessions through the year are going to have weather that is…less than desirable.
If a day looks like a complete washout with heavy rain, it’s probably best to reschedule. Some other options include changing the time of the session to an earlier one if there is a portion that is supposed to be fine, finding a location that has an overhang/porch, or using clear umbrellas and embracing the rain in true “The Notebook” fashion.

The sooner the better! Our available dates tend to fill up pretty quickly – especially during the spring and fall, so the sooner you reach out to us, the more likely you are to get your desired month!
For our couples needing weekend dates, we do a lot of Sunday evenings as many of our Saturdays are filled with weddings.

The engagement session is the perfect time to break out that gorgeous dress you’ve been eying, a stylish suit, or fun romper/short white dress (or even swimsuits) depending on your session location!
We are always happy to help brainstorm outfits and help you make decisions that will leave you looking and feeling amazing! Our couples are welcome to bring up to three outfits to a standard session, and pets are always welcome!

What if we are the most awkward couple EVER when it comes to photos?
A:
If we had a dollar for every time a couple told us they felt like the most awkward people alive when it came to taking photos, we’d have a pretty large bank account. The truth is that most of our clients feel some level of awkwardness (What do I do with my hands?!) when it comes to taking pictures. We understand, and we are here to help!
Our style involves a lot of moving/natural elements and we are happy to provide as much (or as little) direction as you need to create relaxed, stylish photos! You’ll look back at the session and realize just how much fun you had! Our couples typically head into their wedding day a lot more confident in themselves and their newfound modeling skills.
