This wedding might have been the most personal we’ve ever shot as the bride is Nathan’s sister and he had dual roles of groomsman and wedding videographer, wild right?! To top it off, sweet Sophia and Brooklyn were flower girls so there was a TON of planning and prep work that went into making this wedding flow seamlessly!
We actually started our wedding workflow the day before as we knew there wouldn’t be time for some of our usual wedding tasks the day of the wedding. Alyssa left all her details and her dress waiting at the venue, also the wedding venue we were married at, and we took the time to photo/video all of those as well as fly our drone prior to the rehearsal! The Farm on the Ridge is owned by Nathan’s parents/uncle, so it is always fun to return and see all the new things they’ve done with the property!
This wedding was packed with fun, unique twists! From popping multiple bottles of champagne to smoke bombs and poppers, there were plenty of great photo ops. Also, Alyssa chose to surprise Brett during their first look in a hilarious way that you’ll see in the photos below!
The big question of the day was “Will Sophia actually go down the aisle?” The answer? Yes…with a twist! When she initially refused to go down due to everyone looking at her, her maw-maw (and mother of the bride) came to the rescue and walked down with her. Thankfully we had done pictures with Sophia and Alyssa before the ceremony to take some of the pressure off as we got closer to dinner time because we all know little kids get HANGRY!
This truly was a beautiful, unique wedding and one we will remember for years to come! Enjoy this little glimpse into their magical day!
